Within one year of unlocking an incredible abstract painting ability, Melissa Broadwell had won dozens of international juried talent awards. As of now, it is well over 50. She had been chosen to have her paintings exhibited in Egypt. She was recommended by Boldbrush in June 2023 when she won their outstanding digital award, even though her main preference is oil on canvas paintings. She was chosen to have her paintings shown in London in an exhibit co-curated by Anthony Fawcett. She had her paintings shown at the Hamptons Art Fair in 2023.
 

She creates naturally and intuitively. She is suspected to be high-functioning autistic. She connects to the universe and just paints. She paints with no plan except to add hope and allow the art to form naturally. Her paintings have intense movement and emotion. She states her inspiration is our entire existence from the beginning of time until now. She feels centuries of history and energy. She thinks about the balance of energy in existence. She credits her ability to the light she calls God.

She states that we can all be free through art in some form or another. Let go with no fear and feel the tingles.

She naturally knew how to paint and make textures. She stated that the brushes felt so natural in her hands. She makes her textures with brushes. All of her paintings are done completely with brushes and oils.

Her loving husband saw her experimenting online with a new paint program. She had never painted or tried to create art. He shipped her art supplies. The first paintings appeared quickly and with ease. She stated that she felt her true natural identity and the connection we all have with the universe.
